Triptych for April 5th (Three Hymns for War Victims)
On april 5th 1943 time stopped for a while in Mortsel, Belgium. A destroying bombardment demanded 936 deadly victims, of which 209 children. Unfortunately, it were American bombers that missed their German target and dropped their iron tears over the city. 70 years later, this event was remembered with a unique commemoration of which Guy Cuyvers was asked to compose the music on poems by Marcel Pira. Conducted by Hans Vercauteren. Filmed by Jeroen Broeckx.
